Boozy A.M.

This picture probably won't mean much to those who haven't been to Japan - and those who have might find themselves yelling natsukashiiiii!!! - maybe. This is an old sakeyasan - booze shop - near Kamogawa (River) in Kyoto. Only thing missing is... Back when I was living in Kyoto, places like this always had a beer vending machine in front - just like a pop machine but for adults. But beer machines are becoming increasing rare in Japan (although Kyoto seems to be holding the line), resulting in the beer machine rule - in the spirit of "If you build it, they will come" - "If you buy it, they will keep." Meaning every time i see a beer machine, I have to buy a beer. Some days are boozy a.m. AND p.m.
